macOS Sonoma features
Widgets on the desktop
In its WWDC 2023 keynote, Apple introduced a brand new game mode called “Game Mode” on macOS Sonoma, which optimizes CPU and GPU resources to provide a smoother gaming experience. In addition, this mode is also expected to reduce latency with wireless accessories such as AirPods and controllers.
Improved autocorrection
AutoCorrect in macOS Sonoma now offers a number of improvements over the outgoing macOS Venture. Corrected words are temporarily underlined, allowing users to easily identify the changes. If you feel the autocorrect made a mistake, you can go back to the previous word with one tap.
Widgets on Mac
Apple now offers a new widget gallery where users can choose and place widgets on their desktops however they want. In addition, these widgets allow you to control the functions of the device, such as playing music and adjusting lighting settings.
Better PDF and Notes integration
Users can now view a “full-width PDF” directly in Notes and navigate between its pages. Additionally, users have the option to add more than one PDF document to the same note to improve document organization.
macOS Sonoma is expected to be available for download later today at 10:30 PM IST.
